TV Tapings in NYC

A few weeks ago, you made the greatest decision of your life. You decided that you wanted to take a vacation to New York City. Little did you know that this would be your shot at stardom, your one chance at fame. You knew that you wanted to visit a live taping in NYC of a television show. Just what show you wanted to see was unclear but when you got to NY, you realized that you wanted to go see the ladies from The View. You are sitting there today in the studio that houses your favorite show. The music begins to play and out walk the ladies you came here to see. You stand up and applaud them as they take their seats to start the show. Moments later, they want to choose a guest co-host right from the audience you are sitting in. You stand up and wave your hands because this could be the opportunity of a lifetime. You hear Joy Behar say she wants you to co-host the show and you run as fast as you can to take the open chair. One of the favorite shows to check out in NYC is the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. This show airs every night on the Comedy channel as it performs parodies of entertainment, news and politics. There is always a celebrity to be seen on the show but you must be at least 18 years to attend a TV taping in New York. The Daily Show can be found on 513 West 54th Street. You cannot enter the studio in a group that is larger than four and live tapings in NYC run every Monday-Thursday with the doors opening at 5:45pm. Don’t miss out on this hilarious entertainment.

Another popular show to check out is Live with Regis and Kelly. This show has been around for many, many years and it seems to get better each year. There is a 12-month waiting period for mail tickets, but you have a good chance at getting same-day tickets. You should come as early as 7am to get these tickets that you can pick up at the corner of 67th Street and Columbus Avenue. Only children over 10 years old are allowed in the studio and they must be accompanied by an adult unless they are over 18 years old. Make seeing this live taping an evening! Get a few friends and a convertible rental or sports car rental and be a part of it all on your New York City trip.

It’s hip, modern and incredibly entertaining

Perhaps you’d like to see a taping of something a little more your style. If you like music then Total Request Live on MTV is your place. Many fans gather around the street all day just to get a look at the VJ’s or, if they’re lucky, a celebrity. There is a strict age group who can appear on the show and that is those of you who are 18-24. If you fit this description and want to check it out, come to the MTV studio on your journey.
