The Gutter

The Gutter in NYC is a bowling alley that is perfect for those who like a good beer and a good game. You can find the Gutter Bowling Alley on 14th Street, so pile your friends in your New York minivan rental or SUV rental and prepare for a night of fun!

You wont find flat-screen TVs or flashy lights when you visit the Gutter; instead you will find an old-school bowling alley in NYC from the balls and pins to the orange leather benches to sit on. All of the decor was shipped in from Wisconsin, Ohio, and Pennsylvania to make the place look authentic (there are even 70s-style vending machines). While you are waiting for a lane, you can have a drink at the bar with the high-backed stools and roomy booths. A word of caution: get here early! Since this bowling alley in NYC only has eight lanes, they are always in high demand - especially on weekends!

When you go bowling, you can only pay cash here, although the bar accepts credit cards. Shoes cost $4 and bowling is $7/person/game. During happy hour, games are only $6. If you come with a group of four or more people, then you can play for $42/hour or $36/hour during happy hour.

When you visit the Gutter, go to 200 N 14th Street in Brooklyn in your New York car rental or van rental and you won't have a problem finding it. They are open Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. until 4 a.m. and Friday through Sunday from 12 p.m. until 4 a.m. The dress code is casual here and be sure to bring some cash for bowling, although you can use Visa, MasterCard, and American Express at the bar.

The Gutter is a unique place to go with your friends or family. Don't miss out on this chance to combine a fun night of old-school bowling with some fancy cocktails.
