The New York Public Library (NYPL) is a one of the best in the world. It is also a significant library in terms of research in the United States. The director of the library is Paul LeClerc and the historian of the library is David McCullough. McCullough said that the NYPL is one of the five most important libraries in America. What’s even better about the NYPL is that is has a telephone reference service. It was built in 1968 as a separate system and today, it’s still one of the largest around. The service has 10 different researchers with different educational degrees who can consult with close to 50 other researches in the entire library system. The main language spoken is English, but some can speak a bit of Chinese, Spanish, German and Yiddish. You can talk to one of these researchers every day except Sundays and holidays, between 9am and 6pm. The library has also been in many different films and literature pieces.
